why do I keep losing the connection on this site but not on other ones I open at the same time?

It must be your security settings objecting to something on this site, such as the flash in the adverts

Losing connection -- actually not working at all, with all sites, or just this particular one not loading at some times?

If it's just the latter, then it's just this site. It's been built in a terrible way, and is very slow and buggy. Not much you can do if this is the cause.

it only seemed to be this site yesterday, the page took ages to come up but my photbucket and msn were working fine.

Yes,same here,but ONLY when using Firefox.When using IE7 it keeps the connection.On FF,the browser "encounters a problem" and closes.All other sites,whether FF or IE are ok.Weird.
