to much green can be over the top, in small doses it looks lovely
I like a bit of green... wrapped in a kingsize ;o)
My bedroom wall has a light shade of green, with matching curtains to match.
It's quite a small bedroom with a dark green carpet. It's small because I live in a bungalow. That's the problem with a bungalow. You don't get much space!!
We have been in houses before, but now we have ended up in a bungalow.Been here about 18 years now.
It's just my mum and myself living here now.
We've got a nice garden with two lawns, and we have a nice view of a valley below with two farms more or less opposite each other.
I like the colour green but certain things look better in different shades of green.

Green notes have no value these days.
I have my bedroom in shades of green - it's a nice restful colour. I love seeing the different shades of green on the trees and hedges too. However I used to hate green when I was younger as it was my school uniform colour for 7 years!
Well fancy that bensmum!

You and I seem to be quite a match as we seem to like the same colour.I'm even wearing dark green underwear.

Imhotep, sounds like you and your mum are very close. How lovely that is. Do you mind me asking, what does Imhotep mean? (sorry, chappie's not the brightest bulb in the box).
xx
Hello Mrs Chappie, never seen you on AB before.Sorry to respond a bit late as I was on another thread.
Nice to see someone new.
Imhotep means 'I come in peace'.
Imhotep lived in the 27th century b.c.
He was an Egyptian architect, astrologer, and physician. He was the architect of the funeral complex at Saqqara, consisting of a huge stepped pyramid, a processional hall, and other buildings.
That's an impressive username imhotep, makes mine look pretty feeble!

I've been around on AB for a while (joined Sept 2004) but have spells where I don't post for ages, then return (nobody ever leaves AB!)

I used to be chappie, then I stuck mrs. on the front so folk would know I am female (ingenious eh?)

I have noticed your posts before, you seem to love your music - you remind me a lot of my brother. And I think it's great that you are so close to your mum. Cherish her while you can (I'm sure you do). I lost my mum 20 years ago, life is never the same once your mum has gone. I'm gonna give you a big cyber kiss for being such a lovely son .... mwhaaaaaaaa xxxx ♥

PS: Some on here might say I'm a sloppy old tart, but I don't care!!!!
I love green in all it's variations. I have neutral walls and floors....but most everything else is in shades of greens and turquoise+aquas.....i find it very restful especially combined with plants-big ones-in my LR and BR...I used to be a red person, but that would do my head in now. At the moment I can see at least a dozen shades of green.
Awww,thank you Mrs Chappie.
Here is a song that you may like from me.

Stevie Wonder sings I just called to say I love you
As the thread is on the question of the colour green, here is Kermit below singing about this colour.
I like the Muppets. They should bring them back on telly.

Kermit sings the song called Green
Eee lad, what a lovely song. Could bring a tear to a glass eye, that one .....

It has brought back memories of an old boyfriend of mine. He lived in Southampton, and I lived in Yorkshire, so we had a long-distance relationship. We used to be on the phone to each other all the time - the phone bills were horrendous, but you just don't care when you're young and in love - or so we thought.

He used to sing that song to me over the phone. Ahh, bless ..........
Yes,your absolutely right there!
It's amazing what lengths people go to when they have a long distance relationship, despite any bills that have to be paid.
