Is there any scale (like speedometer) for happiness?

If we ask how much money to be a happy person.... Then the answer usually, depent on what that person want or need... Since the day of Alfa Thomas Edison, many more inventions that make people to live more easily..(handphone, airplane, etc) BUT if didn't keep track how much of our happiness progess.... we all will be very advance in technology... AND still not so happy....Still everybody want happiness... So how do you measure happiness,.. and when such amount of money will not have any affect on the happiness??

If all it takes to make you happy is money; then you may need a lot. Howard Hughes amassed over $1,000,000,000 and died of malnutrition. He developed psychiatric problems later in life, but did not seek help. His great wealth brought him nothing, and he never wrote a will. Money is but a means to an end. Happiness comes from within!
