Dont know if this is the right section. How much do you get if you're on the sick? Not from work...yknow off work, off the government or whatever.

Provided you've paid enough National Insurance (NI) Contributions, for the first 28 weeks a single person gets 55.90 a week (if you don't get Statutory Sick Pay.).It then increases to 66.15 a week for a further 24 weeks and after 52 weeks' sickness, it goes up to 74.15 a week. You may get extra depending on how old you were when you went sick. You don't get paid for the first 3 days of sickness (the days you would normally have worked) and you may be entitled to Income Support, depending on your circumstances but you only get the greater amount and not both the full amounts as some folk assume..

If you are a person under 25 you may qualify for Incapacity Benefit in Youth but the qualifying conditions are too involved to get into here.
