Has anyone used the EBay mobile phone bidding & alert service "Volantis" or even heard of it? I cant find any official recognition of it on ebay's website, is it a spoof?

Yes, thats the one, looks like it is now officially endorsed by e-bay. At the time of my question, e-bay had dropped their own similar scheme.

Looks like Volantis have now taken over the service for e-bay.
