Problem with MS Excel

In Microsoft Excel I had been messing about with the format, including using the "strikethrough" option in a couple of cells.  It was only sometime later that I noticed that the labels of the rows (1, 2, 3, etc down the left hand side) and of the columns (A, B, C, etc across the top) had a line through them.  It does not really matter, as nothing is affected by this, but I would like to know how to remove this feature.  I have tried selecting the whole page and ticking the strikethrough box, then unticking it, but that has had no effect.  Any suggestions?

Try highlighting the offending rows/columns and changing them via Format > Style > Modify.  Go to the Font tab and turn off the strikethrough.  Sounds like it's changed at Style level rather than per cell.
