Before the AB upgrade, you had to return twice to obtain a new paragraph. Since the upgrade, you only have to return once, otherwise you'll get a double para spacing, which takes up so much space. :0)

Yeah, is there a way to make a carriage return make one space rather than two? Much wasted space = too much unnecessary scrolling.

To make one space rather than two keep Shift key and press Enter. It is so easy.
