why did my hair look great this morning when i had it cut at the hairdressors but since washing it is flat and dull and no amount of styling will help GRRRRRRRR

I've decided that hairdressers use a some kind of magic when us clients are not looking to get the look they do! I never manage the same effect either :(

Seriously though, I think it has got something to do with their hairdryers, they always seem to be so much more powerful than what you can buy, don't they?

If you had it cut this morning , why in hell did you wash it? Anyway I don't know your age or your hairstyle but get the straighteners out and become an EMO. It's the easiest style in the world. I'm 49 but it's the only style I can achieve at home, gets me some funny looks though

Overwashing can be too much for your hair especially if lots of products used and hairdressers usually wash and condition twice with quite strong products. If you've washed it again, it may be overkill and weighing your hair down in product.

They also tend to spend more time (or skill equates to more time as they're so used to doing it) drying and styling and they can see better as they have an all round view.

Take notes of what they did such as how they dry it, do they towel dry roughly or gently pat dry to avoid frizz.

Do they rough dry to a certain degree more and dry it for longer in general and do they style as they dry, what kind of tools do they use and how to they style it, do they pull it out and up and dry underneath so there's more volume?

Ionic driers are good.

Did they use any products like mousse or serum which helped give it that little bit extra?

had to wash it as had cut hair bits on my back etc which were itchy. had my hair cut from very long blonde hair to a short style with feathering and layers with a side fringe.
they put wax init i've tried but i look like david bowie now lol
