Am I being selfish?

I am a long-distant degree student studying from home and my partner also works from home as he is self-employed part-time.

The thing is my partner has been really good getting things for the house i.e. new kettle, new lights etc but recently he has been having a go at me saying that he's fed up of looking for stuff for the house and I'm not doing anything. He knows I've got a deadline coming up but yet he makes me feel really guilty about it! We've been together for 12 years - am I being selfish?

Tell him that your sorry you haven't got anything for the house yet but that you are really busy studying for your deadline. He has more time than you to look at the moment but after your deadline you will help him.

Maybe you could also but the odd thing though as you surely can't be studying all the time?
Presumably you had time before the imminent deadline to contribute to the sourcing of household goods?

Do as karmgirl says, maybe have a chat about a date when the academic year is finished that you can both go and find something together. Doing this alone can be a thankless and isolating task, homebuilding should really be a combined effort.
