Could anyone give me an idea of the likely price of a beagle or border collie pup from a reputable dealer. Not a show quality dog, just to keep as a pet. All I can find on the net are US sites. Yes, I do know how much exercise they need.

why dont you contact the kennell club of gt britain and ask them for the rescue list for those breeds as their are lots of dogs needing homes,,and you will only have to pay a small fee,,,

At the moment there's someone advertising Border collie puppies in the Loot for �150.

I'd say it's probably between �100 - 400

and off the subject but i definately suggest the bordie collie.  Not to get in hot water with beagle lovers.
