Silly is the word.
What a let down it was. Absolutely stupid.
well if Ethel says so, I shall now erase the recording I made to watch tomorrow.
It was awful (I spent most of the show laughing at it), "Time Team" meets "Raiders Of The Lost Ark", a feisty kick a55 archeologist fights the media to clear her Mother's name.
You have an ancient dovecot in your garden and no-one's noticed it's got a well in it (funny place to draw water) no-one's noticed there is'nt a water course nearby and then they just hack at it crowbars cos the owner does'nt mind, b0ll0cks from beginning to end.
I was looking forward to it an all.
Painfully awful...I don't like Julie Graham anyway but thought I'd give it a chance. I gave up about halfway through.
....oh well, I had a quick glimpse of Paul Nicholls :o(
very dissapointing , especially as it had a decent cast, the basis was a good idea but they must have written it in their lunch hour, the davinci code meets lara croft slash time team...laughable
to a trained eye there were many inaccuracies, there section where awful, no archaeologist would allow wibbly wobbly section edges. The swords the lads were using where supposed to be recreated broad swords no way could it chop a blokes head off, they were hacking weapons.Lay men would have not been allowed anywhere near the trenches although the bit about the well in the dovecot is true, it was only found just as they started recording by the archaeological adviser. although i doubt there is some secret chamber down there!
I was really looking forward to it, my husband enjoyed it, so i shall keep quite about the problems. Shall bear it a few more weeks than see how i feel then.
bu&&er i was going to watch it on iplayer tonight, maybe not then!
According to their dates, the tree the cross was made from was a sapling.

And the Templar treasure was factually inaccurate.

It would have been an acceptable programme had they cut the beheading and shown it as a kids romp.

The start dragged on, the middle was cramped and the ending rushed.

To show Christians as the religious zealots and the Muslims as mild and temperate was a bit of a sap, I thought. In the days of the Crusades neither were temperate.

I have a horrid feeling I shall be watching next week just to see if that one is as bad. Surely it can't be?
With the exception of firewatch's husband I've not seen or heard a good word about it yet, unless you count "so awful it was brilliant, comedy genius"
hey, bbc...scrap the crap!!!!
They should take out the letters EKIC from the title and rename it BONKERS!
Very disappointing, bearing in mind how much advertising it had had. And can anyone tell me why Hugh Bonnevilles' character was called "Dolly"? Am I missing something?
he played Prof Parton blackcat
I liked it, it was like the English version of Bones only there was no David Boreanaz (yum)!!
