I recently saw part of a film {American, I think, but dubbed into German) in which some guy is stranded on a desert island which he later discovers is about to be used for an atom bomb test. Anyone know the title?

Thanks for the tip. Tried, but no joy. Maybe it was an episode of some tv series I saw. It was definitely American in origin but I only saw around 15 mins and just don't have any further clues.
