Any ideas on these please:
1. Which county has two large disconnected land sections?
2. Which county has two disconnected sections separated by the sea?
The second one might be Hampshire unless the IOW is a separate county on its own?

I think the second is Cornwall (Isles of Scilly)
If this refers to pre-1974 'historic' counties . . .

No 1 is Lancashire - Barrow-in-Furness and the area around it
belonged to Lancashire, before being moved to Cumbria in 1974

No 2 would be Hampshire, though the Isle of Wight gained county status in 1974
