Has anyone had this? I think it would help the lines at the sides of my mouth (inherited from my father I'm afraid) and the ones between my eyebrows (which haven't even done me the favour of being symetrical) I want to know about any side effects, Is it dangerous? and how do I know where the best, most professional place to get it done is?

I think fillers are what's needed on the lines around your mouth (someone once referred to these as "the brackets around my mouth".. how depressing!). if your face is slim you will get more lower face lines. sad but true.

I had a friend who had a deep crease between her eyebrows (I'm harvesting my own!) and she had Botox done at a beauty salon. she had to have it re-done every 6 months but thought it was great. it's not risk-free though, I've heard of drooping eyelids/ faces for 6 months, which would be hell.
I've had fillers injected into those lines at the side of the mouth (Naso Labial lines) and was very pleased with the results.

There are many types of filler, Restylane, Perlane, Radiesse, Juvederm etc. Most are based on Hyaluronic Acid and last anything from 3 months to a year. I had Juevderm and it cost about 360.

There are many beauty salons who administer fillers and Botox, but I would suggest you only allow a doctor to do it. It's probably best to go with recommendations from those who've had it done.

Botox has been used as a wrinkle treatment for many years and as far as I know, there are no serious side effects. However, you should discuss any side effects with the cosmetic surgeon who treats you.
