I've been and I didn't get eaten by a bear. it's a beautiful place. We stayed about 3 days and were in a campsite called Bridalveil Creek. It's on high ground and you can go up to Glacier Point for a spectacular view. Most people stay in the valley. there is a lodge there and a campsite and it's probably a good base. The park itself is HUGE. You could easily spend a week exploring. Check out http://www.nps.gov/yose/index.htm for all the info.
