Hi Unhappychick,

Assuming that you are referring to your internal paintwork:

It is highly likely that you have been using a solvent based paint which is prone to discolour (especially Brilliant White). Discolouration is "speeded up" if the room suffers from a lack of natural light.

I would recommend that you try a good quality trade Acrylic Gloss such as Leyland High Gloss. I have used this product many times to obtain an excellent professional finish.

Check here for your nearest supplier:

Good luck

after sufferering similar problems and trying different options i ended up using crown quick drying gloss water based paint, its a pig to use takes some getting used to but it doesnt discolour. I recently replaced some internal doors after painting and fitting them i found i didnt need to paint the frames which i last done 3-4 years ago, it was a perfect match..

Thats great, thanks guys! A big help!!!
if you go down the water based crown route, like i said its a pain to use, takes a bit of practice and needs a decent brush with fine hairs. (must try it with a roller one day) It can show the brushmarks until you get the hang of it but i consider the hassle well worth it.
I would say being a painter you would not do better then using a Dulux paint.
As a decorator I'm with grumpy on this one. Dulux trade is the best by a mile! BTW, the only way to get a decent finish with water-based gloss is to use a spray gun.
Paint everything cream. It looks nice, and you can't tell if it 'discolours'
Dulux trade. Make sure you put an undercoat first, so that you get the depth, but Happy and Grumpy are right.
