most definately the Care industry. All care companies have gone through a total restructure due to changes in legislation.

Vehicle manufacturers also. Most manufactures now make vehicles to order, so you will find that if you want into any showroom and order a vehicle, it could take up to 3 months, even more if its during August, due to factories shutting.

manufacturing industries ,,,,, in the uk , have shrunk ... i9nto non existence virtually , the factories replaced , by - jjb sports , macdonalds , etc

yes and " t a x i t o u t s " ,,,, since the 2licensing scheme " ....in london was introduced , a lot of the touts , still strutt their stuff , without hire and reward insurance , except they can say , they are "licensed " - well i mean the cab office in penton st- n1., get �300 , per licnce or something in the region of that - its still touting !

Law - McDonalds isn't a manufacturing industry, most of our clothes have been made abroad ad have been for years. Taxi touting is not an industry either.

Not only have all services and transport increased in cost but some bright spark decided that steel had been cheap for too long and the price has double so far since January and is expected to have increased threefold by end of year.

so that will push price of day to day things likie cars and white goods up as well as the cost of the olympic village

High street shops disappearing.

Some towns have lost most of their shops.

lap dancing/stripping ..its not an industry , in the manufacturing sense , but its al licence to print money , and seen to be more respestable ,,,lap dancing , rather than , a dark basement , for "peep hole charlies in tacky sections of town " ..

UK manufacturing
charity fund raising ,,, is an activity wher now , full time , canvassers are deployed for commission, ,,,,ie on the street hard sell type of activity , rather than the casual volountry fund raising , we was once accustomed to -
manufacturing has become almost dormant in this country
