hi. i have just got a buffing wheel for polishing my car. being a bit slap-dash i have got polish all over the plastic trim. does any one have any tips for getting it off. i dont want to just use back to black as it only covers it for a few days if you are lucky.

hi mate,

you can use boot polish,

you can also use peanut buter (seriously)

if you find its not lasting long though,

you can also spray on "engine degreaser" to get rid of previous applications of b2b etc , also removes stubborn grease, grime and dirt which stay on the plastics, jet wash that off, and then back to black as normal.

I put some peanut butter in my garden once, the Squirrel's loved it !..

On a serious note : Have you tried WD40 on the Black Trim, I get a very small nail brush and rub as I spray..
I don't know if you can buy Turtle Wax "Ice"in the UK, but it will remove any traces of polish or wax on plastic and return the plastic to a beautiful jet black finish.
