There are many different companies offering sharedealing services online, and there isn't necessarily a best one, just one that best suits your circumstances, for example how often you wish to trade, and how much etc.

I recommend this link a lot, but www.fool.com is a good resource, though advice is of course, country specific.  hope this is useful.....

i would always suggest buying in a bank
I use an online brokers called Comdirect. �12.50 flat fee for all buy/sell transactions. Have a good on-line service, where you can build up your own portfolio & watchlists, plus get e-mail alerts.  Also stores correspondence on-line, and shows detailed information about your transactions & account balance.
