the only downside I've found so far is some of the add-ons that work fine with 2 aren't compatible with 3.
I love it.

The add ons that are important to me work, and those that aren't so important will soon be compatible, I'm sure.

I do like it, and am wavering between FF3 and Opera 9.5.

I prefer the automatic spell check in Firefox (Opera you need to right click to check), I also prefer the RSS feed in the tabs.

However I really like the tabbed browsing in Opera and the Speed Dial.

Generally use both.
Some of my add-ons work, some don't. But at the risk of getting set upon, I have to say, 3 doesn't seem much different from 2, to me (running and hiding, hands over ears)...
Vic, you've confused me. Firefox's tabbed browsing is excellent, and there is a speed dialling plug in:

goto tools and add-ons and search for add-ons and do a search for speed dial :)

And firefox does tabbed browsing, the only difference is firefox as default doesn't have a new tab button, (which is one of the add-ons that doesn't work) but you can just do alt-tab for a new tab.

I've never use 'speed dial'. Should I?
Have read it, and can't see a use for it. My most used websites are on my bookmarks toolbar, opened by simply clicking the icon.

I have 33 on my toolbar.
Thanks for that - but I like the look of the opera one, especially with the little + button to go to a new tab.

Also with Opera, there is two 'back' buttons - one which takes you back to the last page, one that takes you back to the original page that you entered the site on.
