I phoned Mrs 4GS's grandparents last night, when her grandad answers the phone he always recites the phone number then says 'hello'.

I remember people used to do that years ago but thought the habit had died out.
Anyone else do this or know someone who does?

TIA

Hi terambulan, I can see not answering to a witheld in case it's the hospital calling can be a bit silly on my part, but I can't think of anyone who would have me as their 'in case of an emergency' contact, so it's unlikely to be.

The bank? It's probably best I avoid their calls, it's never going to be good news if the bank's calling LOL

How is it that Banks phone you and then ask you some security questions ???

You know who I am ... you phoned me !!

I have no idea who you are, Mr Strange Telephone Caller !!

How about YOU give ME the first line of YOUR address and YOUR date of birth !!

LOL, then they get uppity if you can't remember your passcode off the top of your head. You have to remember passcodes with just numbers, just letter, mixture of both......I never remember which one is which and when I ask "is it a word" I get "sorry, I can't tell you that"

LOL. You could really wind them up, couldn't you ...

... is it a book?

... a film?

... no wait, is it something you eat?

Love it. Can't wait for the next time I speak to my Bank.

LMAO!! I'm rather looking forward to it now too!
