Now these advertisers do a really good job of shooting themselves in the foot.
The ad starts by saying that if just one bacteria (sic) survives it can multiply into several million bacteria overnight.
Let's say we have a surface with 1 million bacteria on it, which we clean with Dettol. 'Dettol kills 99.9% of bacteria' they say. I reckon that leaves 1000 living bacteria each of which can multiply into 1 million, meaning you have millions more than you started with.
Oh, dear, Dettol.

That's the point, buy more dettol!

Now if it were cleaned with bleach, 100% of germs are killed.

Y dont hospitals return to bleach cleaning......it would surely be more thorough and smell fresher.

Couldn't agree more Terambulan. My mother used to scrub the kitchen table with hard soap, rinse then bleach, then rinse again.
No squits in our house !
