I am working full time for the past 17 months with my current employer and would like to reduce my hours by one full day. after being on sick with anxiety for the first time in 21 years and after approaching my employer 1 was given a "QUICK FIX" as she put it by being given half a day off to be reviewed in 2 months. After 11 weeks i was told after asking again that she would get back to me, " it is in her head " . i would like to know if there is a law that states due to health reasons that i will be able to reduce my hours. Thanks for listening

you run the risk of setting yourself up for dismissal due to inability to perform the job

you might wish to have a day off for anxiety reasons, they may want you to take the other 4 days off for operational reasons

if they agree then fine, if they dont why go legal? its not the employers fault, just get a job that you may like
