we can only presume that ice maiden actually means "the dog" as in the animal, like a pet. i mean, we dont know he doesnt mean it in the derogatory sense say for example in refering to a woman. just another way of looking at things...

Hi icey, pasta, et al - I've heard that charcoal tablets are supposed to be good for this problem, but that's not much help at 3.00 in the morning and I wouldn't recommend giving Oscar a lump of charcoal to chew on even if you happened to have one handy !!

Has he eaten anything unusual - knowing what dogs eat, that could mean anything !! perhaps the peg and the cork defence might be necessary - I'll let you work out what goes where !!

And thank you seekeerz - I actually wondered about charcoal, but without burning a piece of toast, I don't think I could get hold of any tablets at the moment. I'm not joking - it's been revolting in here. Btw - yes, Oscar eats whatever he can find. He helped Rose (another dog) to eat a Christmas cactus one time, and although I haven't noticed him eating anything different to normal, I'm sure he must've done!

Have you got any plain live yoghurt, my friends dog is always farting so she gives him a tablespoon of the yoghurt which usualy stops it.
