What would happen if oxygen was added to a nuclear reaction or fussion process such as the sun ?

Well, although it is possible to fuse oxygen atoms to other atoms, the conditions would be much more intense than those inside the sun (at the moment) If there were other molecules around for the oxygen to chemically bond with then I guess it would just "burn" in the heat.
