does anyone know where I can get a basic easy to use program to edit photos, I need to take bits from one photo and fit them into others

Start > Programs > Accessories > Paint thats very easy and basic to use

not exactly the most basic ... but not too difficult

paint.net and photofiltre are also good (and free). Both possibly a bit more "user friendly" than GIMP.
