I have just bought a lamp from Ikea and it said it was operational alongside a dimmer switch which they no longer stock. I love the lamp but it is rather bright. A friend has an adaptor which you plug into the wall and then plug the lamp into. It has a dimmer control on it and I'm looking for something similar. I've tried various big name DIY stores but no joy. Can anyone help.? I live in the Newcastle area if that helps.

Hope you can help - thanks!

I don't know about the adaptor but I was thinking, if you have no joy there, could you perhaps use a less powerful bulb in the lamp like 25 or 40 watt?

IKEA in Edinburgh had baskets full of them last week.

I got one......Part No......400.267.29.  KOPPLA.

Good luck.

KOPPLA isn`t Klingon.........it`s their name for an in-line dimmer switch.
