Can anyone help please? My grandson has been on my computer and has done something to the microsoft internet explorer toolbar. Where it used to have View/ format/Tools etc etc etc, they have disappeared and I can't figure out how to get it back. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

right click on a empty part of the tool bar where it was and click on menu bar to put the tick back and it should reappear
Press F11
actually there is 2 ways that the menu bar could have disappeared, if you still have the blue title bar then my way, if thats gone too jon1968's way.

Well done jon, I forgot that was a possibility too.

One way to get round this is to go into the Control Panel, then User Accounts.

Set up a new account for your grandson and make it a Limited User, that way he cannot do things like install programs etc.

When he uses the computer get him to use that account and not yours (set up a password on yours to stop him getting in to it).

All your settings, and his, are held in separate places so if he makes any major changes on his ID you can still log on to your ID and use it.

The above instruction are how it works in XP, in Vista it may be different (but the principle still applies)

Thank you all for your answers, but neither have worked.

However, I will definitely do what you suggest vehelpfulguy - that will stop any problems in the future!
