Why the Ban...?

I posted a question in the 'Film & TV ' section a couple of days ago about how shocked I was at the New Year showing of Vicar of Dibley, asking for other AB'ers opinions.  Having looked at the site again today, I see my question has been banned.  For the life of me, i know not why.  It seems to me that every time a debate of any sort is started on this site, it's quoshed at risk of offending someone with an opinion that doesn't go with the majority. Could you possibly tell me why it was banned, editor?  I must say, I am very disillusioned with this site at the moment.

TheAnswerbank is meant as knowledge exchange. We try our best to discourage "chatty" posts relating to subjects that are not in the spirit of this site - which is of worth to those who visit it, if the knowledge itself is of worth.

There are many sites on which users can chat about last night's telly and such like. There are very few sites like this one, which we would like to remain vital.

Thanks for listening.

Thanks for replying, Ed,. - fair comment (you are the Editor, after all) but it does say on the site's homepage that the answerbank can be used, quote "on occasion to provide a forum for debate on issues of general interest" unquote. Surely if the question / subject is receiving a response, then that constitutes "general interest." Are we not 'allowed' to debate topics that arise during TV programmes.......?  Still don't understand the reasoning, but thanks for your time anyway.
