2000 Fiat Seicento steering problem

Last week my steering seized whilst going around a corner and I had to give it a hard yank to get it to steer. Now I seem to have lost my power steering 80% of the time (the steering is very stiff) and the other 20% of the time the steering is very loose and the car wanders. The car is also pulling to the left a lot. I know this could be down to a few things, including lack of power steering fluid, suspension, binding brakes or a dodgy steering column. Could anyone please tell me how to tell the difference between these faults?

Your power steering problem will not be caused by lack of fluid as your car's pwer steering is worked by electricity not a hydraulic pump.

It is powered by an electric motor.

Join this forum and learn how to fix it, the page on power steering will come up in the link below..........

might not be anything at all to do with the actaull PAS.could be a siezed bottom ball joint or a seized track rod end, or a problem with the coupling that links the steering column to the rack.
