car ownwership change back dated ?

where a vehicle , "has changed ownership " / "sale - transfer " etc .... can the actual - DATE of ownership/transfer - change be Backdated ?

how can you backdate it,if the V5 has been sent off to dvla.both parties have to sign and date it.

The VO5 refers to the registered keeper (seller) and new keeper (buyer) but I have always thought that this is not proof of ownership. Pedantic maybe but if this is correct then it would be possible to create a bill of sale and backdate it. I cannot imagine why anyone would want to do this!
