There is only one thing you need to know - the earlier you pay for your money, the cheaper it is. So if you want it next week, the rate will be poor - but if you pay for it now and don't want it for 6 months, the rate will be better.

So you lose interest on the money in your bank account and gamble that rates aren't going to vastly improve in the interim.

Thanks for this Ethel, sorry for the delay in replying but circumstances changed and I won't now be needing them. What I really meant, and for my future reference, was: are they respectable, can I trust them with my money in advance?
