I am so undecided which company i should switch to for duel fuel ! Martin advises folks to switch by Monday and cap their prices, as fuel costs are going to go sky high ! As a pensioner living on my own, i just dont know what to do, and which company to switch to, at the moment i am with EDF, and already just recently had an increase of 30 a month, i use very little of either fuel, at this rate i shall have to resort to living in a tent ! Any advice please ?
Thanks in advance !

I too am a pensioner and fixed mine last with Eon - no penalty if I switch before the end of the fixed price period.

Hi mytc - Sorry no advice. I read this on Martins website a couple of weeks ago, but like you don't know where to start! We are with British Gas (duel fuel) We capped our prices ages ago, but I bet we could find cheaper elsewhere! We're just staying put for the moment with our capped prices. I just don't understand how you work out cheaper comparisons? xxx

Thanks Ethel and Skyep,
I am not exactly thick ,but when when it comes to these sort of decisions, i like to take the easy way out and leave it to someone else, at the moment time is short if it's to be done by Monday, and when it comes to comparison charts, then ok, ..... .. i am thick !!!!
ooer what happens if I dont switch on a monday??

Hi Cazzz, It's a matter of choice, if you cap, then your charges stay at a fixed rate despite the increase, i dont think Monday is the deadline for all the companies, but there is, according to Martin Lewis going to be a big increase, and he said it would be better to cap before that happens. Google his website, it's brilliant !
