Reading music

I am trying to learn to read music but am finding it quite difficult. Does anyone know of any good books/CD's/videos for complete beginners that explain everything simply? Thanks x

I would go to your local music shop and ask them to recommend something. Also you could join a local class that studies music theory and maybe take grade 1? It is far easier to be taught to read music than to try and teach yourself. If you get stuck there are lots of us on here who can help!
