I bought a couple of great matching pictures for my living room for 3 pound, it was a good deal considering I would have to fork out about 15-30 quid for a couple of nice pictures

Carboots and charity shops are the only places that I can find them.

Such a good job that I love shopping at both.

I bought a small figurine for 50p at a charity shop.

I new it was a LLADRO when i priced it up at home on the net it was worth �99 . :-)

I going to gave it to the wife for her birthday .
but i not going to tell her where I got It or how much it was !!!!

I bought a Welsh landscape by Eric Vaughn-Jones at a boot sale in Mitcham, it's hanging in my dining room. It is worth about �30k. I won't sell it though, no way, beauty is more important than money.

but my best buy was haggling in a shop
for a china cabinet once it was cleaned
and polished it was walnut ..looking at
it now..what a bargain ...

Many years ago (1986), I was at a boot sale in North London. Anyway purchased for �1 a glass bowl with fish shapes moulded into the glass.
Yes , you guessed.

Never managed to top that.
Bowl is worth about �400 + in todays market.
Still have it.
