On my keyboard, instead of shift-3 being a pound sign, it's a dollar. Anybody know how I change it? Help appreciated

You need to change the Keyboard language to English (United Kingdom) via the Date, Time, Regional and Language link in the Control Panel.

Assuming you have Windows XP:

Click Start , then Control Panel, and Regional and Language Options. Click the "Languages" tab, then the "Regional Options' tab .

Make sure the settings show 'English - UK' and the currency is �

Thankjs for your reply. But the dollar sign has now beome a hash # instead of the pound sign!

I had a similar problem with a Compaq purchased in USA
Switching language does change location of � sign and I can't remember exactly to where but on the right hand side of keyboard just hold down shift and try a few keys and you'll find it. Hope this helps
