I use the Dyson Carpet Cleaning Kit.  It's not cheap but it does work brilliantly on all sorts of apparently immovable stains.

Irn-Bru!!!! Buy a new carpet!  Nothing shifts Irn Bru.  The only thing would have been to soak it up with tissues when it was spilt (without rubbing).

Try a general cleaning as mentioned above but I wouldn't like to rate your chances!

It may be too late, but if its a nice carpet, dont rub it and phone a carpet cleaning firm. It might cost you 30, but they clean the whole carpet too.

Nah they are all wrong.

Here's a little known Glasweigan secret for you ( it's free since I like you!).

Contact Barr's, the makers of irn bru via email or letter and they will send you something to clean it with! Know someone who did it for a cream suite and it worked a treat. Merry Crimbo!
