Is there a natural one anyone can recommend? Or should I bung me cucumber plant in the bin and start again?

Yellow Sulphur, sprinkle over lightly
there is a range called Nautures Answers that you can get in most good garden centres. They have a fungicide for powdery mildew.

Before you pull up the plant try a ten percent milk solution...That's one part milk to nine parts water sprayed early in the morning or in the evening to prevent burning the plant by wetting it in full sun. It should be fat free or skim milk... apply at least twice a week. I've found that a stronger solution, say 25% is more effective on stubborn infestations. this works on flowers like Monarda, (Bee Balm) and other fungal infections...
i use systhane fungus fighter for black spot. mildew .rust.scab.make sure it is a systemic spray, not a contact spray you will get a better result
