does a friend request on facebook expire?

or to put it another way, would you know if someone had ignored your friend request?

well, i have requested to be friends with people and if they have not confirmed i try adding them again and sometimes it will say that you have already added them but they have not yet confirmed you as a friend. if that makes sense lol

dont think they do expire red. I had emails for friend requests over a year ago but never joined, then when I joined recently they were waiting for me.

I dont think it tells you if someone ignores your friend request.

so we can more or less safely say that if i have sent a friend request to someone and they have ignored it that is the only way it would 'expire'.

You can tell if your friend request has been ignored by trying to add them again. It won't let you, if they haven't; it will say, 'Pending Friend Request', but if they have ignored it, it will give you the option to add them again. If that makes sense. :oS

I have friends request and I'm unable to add them. For some reason they are not doing what it is they are suppose to do although I've accepted them. I feel badly because they might think I don't want to accept them.
