Many thanks to Cheaton for alerting us to the eventual arrival of the Bank Holiday Jumbo.

I'm stuck on 2.

25d A lord, one casting spell speaking in theatre (7) A - * - Y - H

29a Take a cube, holding very tip (6) - * - I - E

These 2 answers intersect at * .

Can anyone help, please? I'd like to finish this before starting on this weekend's crosswords.

Thanks Kettledrum! Did you agree with Spitza's answer of gatecrash and high, wide and handsome? I've never heard of that expression.
Hi cheaton - perhaps I'm being stupid, but where was/is the Jumbo 755?

Yes, Cheaton ... I had 1d gate-crashed, and 23a high wide and handsome.

Are you stuck on any others? I expect you want to finish it too, before starting on 756.
BTW High Wide and Handsome was a film.
