I just recently had a new bath tub installed, now theres a small chip of a 1pence size piece enamel came off near the plug hole. Can anyone recommend how to patch it up? Would it rust if I was to leave it alone?

Such damage was caused by the installer (Plumber?) tightening the drain flange to snuggly.  If the bath tub is enamel over castiron, it will rust fairly soon,  If it is an acrylic tub, it won't really matter.  But I would have a serious talk with the installer...
Also, you can get it repaired, but from what I have heard the repair often fails after a short time and the surface lifts again. Clanad could be right here, so dont accept a repair, demand a replacement. :o)
