Hey my daugher is 15 and she was compling last week about a sore above her canine tooth , it looked like a ulcer , it may have been a absess but it only hurt when she touched it so i thought not . Now it seems that a tiny bit of her gum above the canine tooth has gone ,so she has a missing bit of gum above this teeth ( small but noticble ) it does not look sore as such and it still only hurts when she touches , and now it appears the same sore is showing on the tooth ( lower canine) . what is happening , i will book in at the dentist just wondered thanks

may have been an infection (I get lots); they hurt when touched but don't necessarily throb all the time. As for bits of gum going missing, that's a new one on me. Off to the dentist, anyway, it needs to be looked at.
