Help !!!

My daughter is staying with us between flats.

She went thro to Perth yesterday -we went out at about 6 and came back at 9 ish.

I got up this morning and one of her cats is missing -I checked on them before I went out but this morning just one here

They are house cats.

Spent the last 3hrs looking frantically -he is timid so dont think he would have bolted out the door when we came back.H is away out again and I cant stop crying at the thought of what she is gonna be like when she comes home.

I dont know what to do -if they are house cats do you think that he will come back cos he is frightened outside?H ehas been here a week so has the homing instinct I should imagine.O eff -this is a nightmare.

BTW -only on here to try and keep my mind off it cos I am totally useless ATM

RESULT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

J came back -obv distressed at Louis being missing -she hunted the house - couldnt lie to her cos I was crying.

She went outside and shouted for him -then came back in and hunted the house again -then she went outside again -and guess who was sitting at the back door -wa haaay -he leapt into her arms and this story has a happy ending !!!!!!!!!!
Cats are so bloody clever arent they !!!

Well he sure had his night on the tiles !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look amongst your daughter's things. If she has stuff piled, as she is "visiting" between flats, he may be burrowed in with her scent for safety. Also look in all the closets. I used to lock mine in the linen closet all the time. She would jump up top when I had the sliders open and then I would close them. She was in there all day one time.

Thanks all again -the relief is tangible -seriously!!!

He is now milking the attention -back flips leg stretching rollovers the works -he wont be let out out sight again !!!!

Just a BTW -to think that someone/thing actually was delighted with the sound of J's voice -WOW -to be a cat lol

I know my little demon sends my heart racing when I can't find her, the sneaky devil! The other day, first in new place, Gonzo was over and I'd obviously failed to close the front door properly, so it came wide open. I kept hearing her meow loudly, but she sometimes does it when there are "strangers" in the house. I turned around and realised the door was open!!! Almost had a heart attack! Went in the lobby, and there she was, the monster, sitting on the mail!!! Grrr...
They do sent our blood pressure through the roof, don't they? lol

For all the peeps -obv not on this thread cos you all kept me going-who say theyre only animals whats the fuss -well -theyre not they are absolutely part of the family !!!!!!
