how do i turn of multiplayer on my ps3 game gta 1v as I cant dial in any numbers on my phone when I push up on the d pad

On my Xbox 360 first push up brings up the phone second push up brings up the numbers. No idea if that works in multiplayer

It's in the phone menu which you get to by pushing up on the D-pad to get to the phone and then pressing the equivalent button of A on the PS3 pad, I'm guessing the X button
