Hi, im having real problems getting finance for a new motorcycle. Does anybody know why this is? I have a credit card which i am paying off and i have been with the same bank for at least 12 years. I am not a home owner or anything but i have lived in several addresses over the last 4 years as a tennant and always paid my way. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Too many addesses in a short period;

Current credit crunch is making lenders nervous.
It could be the lack of finance in your name - they don't have any history to base your credit score on - only 1 credit card. also because you have moved frequently that can count against you - were you on the electoral roll at all the properties? Also the credit crisis isn't helping anyone.

I would say order your credit report from Equifax or Experian to check there is nothing on there that shouldn't be. You can get the statutory one for 2 or if you want to find out straight away you can pay 11.95 with Equifax or do a free trial with Experian and cancel it before the month is out. You can get your credit score with Experian for 5.95 too.

Thanks!
Too many addresses can have an effect, but shouldn't exclude you if the rest of your rating is top notch.

However, were you on the electral roll at these places, that is important.
