Could anyone give me some ideas on how to remove stains from bed clothing? Have soaked in bleach - but maybe for not long enough? Is there any other non harsh methods? I have tried various supermarket bought products without much help.

Fire?
soak overnight in Vanish then in the washing machine on 60 degrees.
It depends what the stains are. Blood is quite difficult to remove once it gets old and dries. . You can try Stain Devils (the little bottles of stain remover liquid). There is one which says it will remove blood buy my experience is that once the stain dries, whatever it is, it is difficult to remove. If you do use bleach, I would think that an overnight soak, at least would be necessary, and whilst it will lighten the stain it won't necessary remove it altogether. I find that undiluted Ariel liquid rubbed into a wet patch in the stain area and left to soak for a few hours also reduces the intensity but again, it doesn't always remove it completely.
