hey guys!
Before i start i HATE doctors with a passion, mainly due to my childhood doctor who got to be known as doctor no-know.
right, i am having some problems, nowt personal so i dont mind sharing.
1)i am having trouble of quite an extreme pain issue in my tailbone, whenever i am sat for long periods, or go from sitting to standing i nearly scream as i can feel bones that shouldn't move move and it hurts like hell. Am i going mad? has anyone else suffered this?could an accident triggered this pain?
2)im having problems breathing,i know alram bells should ring and my husbands nearly phoned for an ambulance a couple of times. it dosn't last for long about half an hour where i get breathless and sometimes chest pains aswell. is there anything i can take at home to try and ease them. I have triead asprin, but sometimes to no avail.
most worringly of all im 22 and otherwise fit and healthy, thinking nothing of running up three flights of stairs!

It actually depends, if you have avoided seeing a doctor you can create a lot of anxiety for yourself. you may have a trapped nerve in your back that causes the excruciating pain, your breathlessness may be caused by anxiety or stress.

Have you seen the doctor about either of these issues?

you can ask to see a female doctor at your surgery if you need too
Hate is a very powerful emotion, and I find it very alarming that you 'hate' all members of a group of healthcare professionals whose job it is to help and care for you on the basis that as a child you did not have a good rapport with your family GP.

he mis diagnosed a health problem, i am a going to work for the nhs after i qualify as a med sec, so i will probably get along with them.
My hubby thinks the breathlessness may be due to too much coffee, and yes stress i have been wound up at work alot lately .
im at a new surgery having recently moved and they are better so i think before i am nagged to death i shall have to go!
The breathing problem sounds like anxiety attacks,if it was something like asthma it would be unlikely to just disappear on its own without treatment.

Caz has given you the best advice possible and I urge you to take it.

(On a jokey note, I'm not sure becoming a medical secretary will help!)
Hello CD
Not all doctors are the same, go to your new surgery and register, preferably with a female doctor. Then make an appointment, they are there to help you, don't worry. And when you have been, and you have been diagnosed, you will find there was nothing to worry about in the first place! A lot of it could be anxiety which just needs reassurance. Good luck! Let us know how you get on. You are too young for all these problems !
It doesn't matter how old you are but as you get older these problems will get worse, you neglect yourself now you will certainly pay later on.
Go to a doctor ... you must. In a way you are being selfish because it will be down to your family to look after you if you become ill through self neglect.

Your body need maintainance too. Take care of yourself.

Your symptoms of breathlessness with chest pain can be anything from anxiety to respiratory tract infection to cardiac problems. You really need to put your reservations aside and see your G.P.

hi you guys! you have been great with all your help!
I have had my two days off and feeling less wound up- chest pains are better only had one in the last few days.
I'm giving up caffeinated coffee as well to see if that helps. My back is still twinging, but i think thats because of traveling on the bus, if you know Herefordshire roads you would know how ruddy bumpy they are!
at work get your H&S officer to to a desk assessment just to check how your sitting,m they may be able to suggest a few things, adjust your chair etc that may help with your back problem.

that would be great if i worked in an office, as i said i am still training as a med sec, i currently work on a bakery/deli in a supermarket where we have to do heavy lifting, no matter how bad your back is feeling, to get deliveries away and bread baked. i should of said that earlier, its when I'm on my breaks when very often i have to take shorter ones because i cannot sit for long.
