Would taking combined Vit C and Zinc tablets plus multi vitamins be bad for me?

Read what the Multi Vitamins contain, before you take anything else. You might not need the other two vitamins, Multi Vitamins usually contain Vitamin C and they may contain Zinc. Only take the recommended dose daily which is usually just the Multi Vitamin. I would only take it every 'other' day, anyway.

i've been doing this for 4 years 4 get, your body doesn't store excess vits anyway, mind you i take the extra vit c as i smoke

well on the multi vitaims it says 100% of RDA and on the Vit C ones says 169% of RDA.

medically i haven''t a clue but my doc told me that your body can't store vits so any excess just gets 'flushed away', like i said i've been doing this for 4 years now and have no probs with it just minus the clod sores ;-) why not speak to a pharmacist they've probably got a better idea

The body does store Vit. A, D, and E as they're fat soluble whereas Vit. B & C are water soluble and flushed away

The only problem you might get with an excess of Vit C is 'the trots'. Butterflies is right.

Some vitamins such as C are flushed out of the body. Others such as A are stored in the body, and too much can be harmful. So if you are taking a multivitamin dont take more vitamins as well.
If you go on the Healthspan website they do a free NutriProfile analysis. It asks about your diet and lifestyle, and recommed which suppliments you may need.
Ive been buying vitamins from them for years, and they are very good value, and also post free from Guernsey.
