how do you clean the leaves of a cheese plant safely

buy a special leaf shine from a garden centre or i did mine with cotton wool soaked in milk once a month
hmm milk...? never heard of that one... i just use a damp j-cloth monthly - it seems to do the trick. just make sure hands are washed thoroughly afterwards!!
also the plants quite like to be misted occasionally.
Now I have a query to add to this. Sorry tinkertontom, i don't mean to hijack your thread or anything but....
My plant (we call him The Big Cheese) has grown really straggly lately - i've seen others that look really neat & nice and have heard you can cut them back but wouldn't know where to start. any ideas???
