Resin
Orris
rosin, as in the resin used on violin bows

orris- gold lace
sorry it's' resin 'as in risen reversed
Why orris? Is ris some sort of lace?
sorry again could it still be rosin as in almost rose no' e 'plus trendy as 'in'
man reportedly could be boris(s) - did not start leads to orris
OK...I get the boris thing but there is only one r is boris and what's with the lace?
And "man reportedly" = Horace (reportedly = sounds like) "did not start" = take off the H leaves you with ORRIS which is a type of gold / silver lace.
man did not start-- morris without the 'm' -start of man is 'm'
sorry, should have got off lazy bum and looked in dictionary. Just shows that if you google you don't always get the answer. Orris shows a root product. Silly me and thanks to all for bearing with me
puzzled's morris is better than my boris - solves the r problem
Agree with Puzzled101 re Rosin.
